Story telling at its best on the small screen. Its got everything; gangs, guns and b-boying. Damn those little motherfuckers, why couldn’t they both just get down to struttin yo stuff. Damn you cruel fate. Damn you drugs!
Shot in the Philipines this directorial debut from Josh Cole really is something else. Going all out, Mr. Cole’s past as a photographer is exposed through epic pan shots. So epic they almost manage to steal attention away from what is a genuinely touching story. Based on the lifestory of Manillan b-boyer Mouse, now grown-up and playing the dance teacher, who aged 16 really did escape from the slums of Manila to the safety of, um, Birmingham.
