I know it seems obvious but hey, it had to be done. Accepted as one of the best videos of all time, this truly is an oldie but a goodie. Not sure much needs to be said about this classic except it changed the way people saw music videos. One thing I don’t get though, if its obviously shot in London, why is the officer from the US of A?
Radiohead gave Thraves the break he, in hindsight, deserved going on to win countless awards most notably through his imaginative piece for Coldplay’s “Scientist“. Jamie’s latest pop video is, quite sadly, Dizzee Rascal’s “Dirtee Disco” which although is fun, is just a typical pop video (that happens to feature DJ Derek!). Mark Ronson went on to release his own version of Mr. Thraves’ Radiohead classic by recreating a twisted version of the video along with his jazzy cover of the track. Not sure anyone really gained from this though…
